The News Desk: One Millionth English word... Pwned?

There are events that happen in all our lives that sometimes you just have to shake your head and look away for a second... regain your focus... and just ask... "Really?"

As if The World of Warcraft hasn't destroyed enough lives already or at least limited those lives to ones of cadavers languishing untold hours over a keyboard speaking an entirely new dialect that some might mistake for Klingon, this game is now about to be immortalized bringing the word "Pwned" into the official English language. I'm sure someone is going to cry about how the word was used before this game; but really, without this soul stealing game you would not have seen this word permeate the pop culture driven (drunkenly i might add) society we have today.

Also to note is that "defriend" is also on the list for possible additions. I personally think we should have been able to defriend people years ago, would have made my life so much more simple. Case in point - Anthony.

  1. I'm rooting for defriend, rooting against pwned, and suggesting that Ted be given its official definition...

  3. So stupid.
Just because people use the word doesn't mean we should put it in the damn dictionary - like Googled is now a verb and ain't is in the dictionary. COME ON. HAVE WE KNOW SENSE OF PROPER GRAMMAR??!!!???!!! FREEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

(I made a glaring typo when I first posted this and figured it wouldn't look too good, me bitching about proper grammar and all...)
