Note to readers: In the interest of keeping our journalistic integrity I feel that I should admit that I haven’t seen a second of the 4th season... I just studied the trends and made a bold prediction.

Things just haven’t been as pure as when Locke and Boone were pawing around in the woods and trying to dig up the hatch.

The Formula: Chuck Palahniuk Novels

It’s not a good sign for an author when each new book makes you question the quality of the ones before it... it’s kinda like Tony Scott if you’re talking movie directors, Metallica if you’re talking bands, or Tony Hawk if you’re talking games.

Still, his books are nothing if not fast and subversively funny.  You will laugh, and you will feel like a scumbag for it.

The Formula: Wes Anderson Films

Someday I’ll go in depth on this stuff, but this was a tough one.  Anderson makes dense, whimsical movies that can be quite divisive to someone who is scared of irony.  My favorite Wes Anderson film is usually last one that I watched.

I'll be honest, Anthony's post "...and Pablo Honey doesn't exist" is too good to be a one timer. We talked it over, and we're thinking that a reoccurring thread titled "The Formula" could forge onward in it's spirit. So for Pixar Films, "It goes like this..."
